Corroboration by Other Seers: Both seers were influenced by their trips and
conversions in Medjugorje
Biographical Information:
Theresa Lopez: Even though she put Colorado on the apparition map
we don’t have a great deal of information on this seer. It is reported that
prior to her conversion (1987-1990) she led a profligate lifestyle having been
married and divorced 4 times, with three children. She was also abusing drugs
and alcohol and had a growing credit card problem, which later led to a charge
of second-degree forgery and check fraud charges. The transformation came after a pilgrimage to Medjugorje when she
had her first locutions of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Shortly after she set up
shop in Denver and was soon travelling around the country as a promoter of the
Medjugorje phenomenon. Among her public apparitions was one event attended by
6000 pilgrims who had come to see the Blessed Virgin at Lookout Mountain. Her
“Mary said” book sold 60,000 copies.
She is now living in Rome with a priest ordained by the controversial
Medjugorje supporter Bishop Paulo Hnilica. It has been reported that she still
has unresolved financial issues with the Uunited States FBI, Social Security
and various police agencies. According to one former husband, she spent her
evenings transcribing the works of Mary of Agreda to pass off as her own
messages.
Veronica Garcia was only two years of age when her own mother died,
leaving Veronica and two other daughters. Her Grandmother was the one who
raised her. When Veronica as seven her father remarried. Veronica had problems
adjusting to the new family; she ran away from home when she was only 14. She
was returned home by the authorities in short order. Thereafter Veronica
continued her education but became involved in a life of dissipation. At 24 she
married and had one daughter. This marriage failed and after some years
Veronica remarried on October 10, 1981. This marriage is intact. Veronica’s parents were always supportive
through the difficult years. In 1987 her stepmother adopted Veronica and also
adopted her two adult sisters. At about this time her stepmother tried to bring
Veronica in closer contact with God in Veronica’s own life. Soon Veronica was
exposed to more and more spiritual activities sich as Bible Studies and prayer.
In 1988 her aunt went to Medjugorje where her aunt’s rosary turned a gold
colour. In October 1989 Veronica also made a pilgrimage to Medjugorje where she
made her first confession in 20 years; this was at the foot of the Cross on
Apprition Hill. She knew she was fully forgiven by Our Lord and her own
dramatic conversion was now under way in earnest. In October 1990 she returned
to Medjugorje where she received a memorable blessing from Father Jozo. Soon
therafter Veronica began to have mystical experiences. In 1991 she saw the
Crucified Jesus in a dream. Other things reportedly happened to her. She would
be awakened at night to receive messages (locutions) from Both Jesus and Mary.
These messages commenced April 12, 1991. At first these messages were in the
form of poetry; later the messages became instructive, yet always loving and
caring in content…At Veronica’s request Our Lady taught her to say prayers
which Our Lady later prayed with this seer. Nowadays this seer attends daily
Mass and receives Holy Communion, weekly confession and daily prayer,
especially the rosary. Veronica in not only a wife and a mother, but is also
employed as a legal secretary; and also travels often to fulfill the mission
given to her by Jesus and Mary. Her mission is to spread the messages and gain
souls to return to God. Our Lady
requested that Veronica come to Mother Cabrini Shrine on the second Sunday of
each month. Our Lady also told Veronica that she would suffer in carrying out
her mission “People will try to discredit you” The Messages given to this seer
are for prayer, prayer for priests, the souls in purgatory and may other named
purposes; to recite the rosary , attend Mass and receive the Eucharist daily,
and make frequent confessions. We are to totally trust Jesus and convert. The
Messages are given in a loving caring mode. 1

Messages

Talk
given in Denver, November 11, 1992: We have very little in the way of
transcribed messages from this seer (Please write in). In the locutions of
Theresa Lopez of Denver, Colorado, considerable information has been given to
her about the warning, the miracle, the permanent sign and the chastisement.
The following is from a talk she gave on November 11, 1992: “Will Denver get a
permanent sign and is that the same one as in Medjugorje? I don’t know if has
to do with any apparitions anywhere else. Our Lady has only told me about the
significance of her apparitions in Denver. So the permanent sign she speaks
about will occur here in Denver. I cannot say it is a link with anything going
on anywhere else. But this permanent sign is a sign of conversion, and it’s a
sign of Our Lady. It is to stire you to conversion and cause the thrust into
the Church. ….Once people receive conversion, that spark from the permanent
sign, then Our Lady will of course take that sign and take those people to her
son. The second fold of secrets will come in the form of the miracle. And the
miracle will be, the miracle of the presence of God. How this will happen, I
cant sit here and tell you. Our Lady refers to it as a sign in the presence of
God. This will be experienced within the Church as is Our Lady’s entire plan.
It is to spark us and bring us to her Son in the Church, through the
sacraments, through receiving the presence of Jesus in the Holy Eucharist….The
warning, Our Lady calls the moment of silence. And in the moment of silence our
internal selves will be revealed. Its purpose is to stir the soul to
conversion. The miracle will have two purposes: to reveal the presence of God
and the renewal of the Church. Our Lady has said these secrets will come about
by proclaimation of her last title. Once the miracle occurs the time of grace
will end. It has an ending date. Chastisements will follow….And there is a
great myth that the so-called good people will be take from the earth and the
so-called bad people will remain. Everyone will remain. The so-called good
people will have their focus on heaven. They will be what Our Lady calls
eternal adoration. And you will have the heavenly gaze as your focus and will
no longer be earthly because you will be completely focused on God. You may ve
aware of your surroundings but you won’t have despair or worry, fright or any
of the human emotions. You will be wrapped in a state of eternal adoration. For
those who did not choose to convert, they will retain and earthly view because
they will be of the earth and they will feel the despair and the agony of the
chastisements. Our Lady has said those who live a virtuous life have no fear of
chastisements. Even after all these chastisements come to pass, even then,
there will be one hour of grace remaining. And in that hour of grace, even the
worst of the worst that have undergone the chastisements will be given the last
opportunity for conversion. The New Jerusalem will then settle upon earth. All
evil will no longer exists and we will be in perpetual paradise, just as God
planned in the beginning.” 2
