Sr Mildred MaryNeuzil, Ohio, U.S.A.1954-1984 (Our
Lady of America)
Status: Currently being investigated
Episcopal Remarks: Archbishop Paul F. Leibold, Cincinnati has awarded
the apparitions an Imprimatur and has had a medal struck and a plaque
commemorating the apparitions constructed.
Corroboration by
Other Seers:
Biographical Information: It was in Brooklyn New York in 1916 that Mildred
Mary Neuzil was born to Austrian parents.
At the tender age of 13 she was professed a religious in 1933. She
received her assignments to work in various houses of the congregation, mostly
in domestic work. Later, in 1958, she was cloistrered. About 1938 she began to
have mystical experiences. After some years she began writing them down .
Finally in 1954 she began to receive frequent apparitions and messages from Our
Lord Jesus and from Our Lady. It was on November 8, 1954 that Our Lady first
spoke to the seer and on September 25, 1956 Our Lady first appeared to the
seer. Our Lady announced Herself as Our Lady of America and stated her great
concern for the youth and called on Americans to live a life of purity. The Blessed Mother also taught the seer of
the Indwelling of the Holy Trinity…She taught the seer a prayer to the
Immaculate Conception and also a prayer to the Indwelling of the Most Holy
Trinity. Our Lady also instructed the seer to cause a medal to be struck and
distributed. The details and explanation of the meaning of the medal was
explained to Sister Mildred by Our Blessed Lady. Our Lady further gave warnings
of a coming Chastizement unless the people have an inner conversion and reform
their lives. The seer was permitted to see Our Lady’s Immaculate Heart and also
to see the Eye enclosed within the triangle on Our Lady’s breast, the
symbol of Divine indwelling. St Joseph, St Michael the Archangel, Archangel
Gabriel, Angel Sultra and Archangel Sardus appeared to the seer and gave
messages to her. 1 She died on
January 10, 2000.

Our
Lady, November 8, 1954: “It
is the wish of my Son that fathers and mothers strive to imitate me and my
chaste spouse in our holy life at Nazareth. We practiced the simple virtues of
family life, Jesus our Son being the center of all our love and
activity….[O]urs was the earthly paradise where once again God walked among
men. As in our little home no sin was to be found, so it is the wish of the
Heart of my Son and my Immaculate Heart that sin should, as far as possible, be
unheard of in the homes of our children….The Divine Trinity will dwell in your
midst only if you are faithful in practising the virtues of Our life at
Nazareth, then, you also, My children, you also will become another Paradise.
God will then walk among you and you will have peace” Our Lady inspired the seer to pen a prayer to the Indwelling of
the Most Holy Trinity.
Our
Lady, undated, 1954:
"As in our little home no sin was to be found…so it is the wish of the
Heart of my Son and my Immaculate heart that sin should, as far as possible, be
unheard of in the homes of our children."
Our
Lord, undated, 1955: “The
crucifix appeared before me, drawing closer and closer….I knelt down, my heart
crying out in sorrow and love. He was very near, so near that I saw the Blood
streaming down His crucified and pain-wracked body. On His Face was a look of
intense pain and sorrow. …I offered myself to Him with all the love in my
heart. Then He spoke these words to me -- 'I cannot accept your gift unless you
are wholly united to Me and to My sufferings.' At these words I was overwhelmed
with grief….Then the Lord proceeded to lead me upon the road of suffering.
Never, dear father, have I ever experienced anything so terrible, so
heartrending, so full of bitterness. I was filled with such anguish and agony
that every part of my soul and body seemed to share in it. I could not kneel
upright. A heavy weight seemed to be pressing me down to the ground. The agony
was becoming unbearable. With both hands I covered my face, while the intense
suffering forced the tears from my eyes. I felt like I was being crushed under
a mountain of grief. There was no part of me that this agony did not penetrate.
If it had lasted a moment longer I'm sure I would have died. Oh if I could only
tell you how it really was. When I awoke, I was shivering and trembling all
over….Oh the horror, if only we fully realized it. Our Lord only let me taste a
very tiny drop of the bitter drink in His chalice of suffering. Yet this tiny
drop almost killed me. That is true, father. I could not have endured it a
second longer."
Attacks
of the devil, 1955: “The
devil was furious. Through the help of our Lord and His Holy Mother, he had
lost his hold over me and had himself been defeated. He would give me a
frightening remembrance of his hatred. One evening, I believe it was the same
day the 'ordeal' ended, as I made preparations for the night, I felt his
presence in my cell. I got into bed and just as I closed my eyes the 'attack'
began, just that suddenly. It was no dream as I was not yet asleep. It was as
though two huge, horrible arms encircled themselves around me and like a
monstrous vice kept tightening and tightening. I could help myself in no way
except by prayer. So I cried out, 'Jesus!' The vice became tighter. I cried out
in terror, 'Jesus, Mary!' By this time the pressure, the pain, became so
unbearable, I was gasping for breath, but I managed to cry out one last prayer
-- 'Jesus, Mary, Joseph!'…Then just as suddenly as it started, it stopped. I
opened my eyes and my soul was filled with that deep sense of peace that has
since never left me. I opened my eyes to darkness but it held no terror for me
as the Phantom of Evil had fled."
Our
Lady September 15, 1956: Prayer
“By Thy Holy and Immaculate Conception, O Mary, deliver us from evil”
Our
Lady, September 25-27, 1956:
"I am pleased, my child, with the love and honor my children in America
give to me, especially through my glorious and unique privilege of the
Immaculate Conception. I promise to
reward their love by working through the power of my Son's heart and my Immaculate
Heart miracles of grace among them. I
do not promise miracles of the body, but of the soul….For it is mainly through
these miracles of grace that the Holy Trinity is glorified among men and
nations. Let AMERICA continue and grow
in its love for me, and I in return, in union with the Heart of my Son, promise
to work wonders in her. My child, I
desire that this be known….I am Our Lady of America. I desire that my children honor me, especially by the purity of
their lives….
Our
Lady, September 26, 1956:
“I am Our Lady of America. I desire that My children honour Me, especially by
the purity of their lives….My child, I entrust you with this message that you
must make known to my children in America. I wish it to be the country
dedicated to my purity. The wonders I will work will be the wonders of the
soul. They must have faith and believe firmly in my love for them. I desire
that they be the children of my Pure Heart.I desire, through my children of
America, to further the cause of faith and purity among peoples and nations.
Let them come to me with confidence and simplicity, and I, their Mother, will
teach them to become pure like to my Heart that their own hearts may be more
pleasing to the Heart of my Son
Our
Lady, September 25, 1956:
Our Lady promised that greater miracles than those granted at Loureds and
Fatima would be granted here in America, the United States in particular, if we
would do as She desires. She said “I do not promised miracles of the body but
of the soul”…“Behold, O my children, the tears of your Mother! Shall I weep in
vain? Assuage the sorrow of my Heart over the ingratitude of sinful men by the
love and chasteness of your live. Will you do this for me beloved children or
will you allow your Mother to weep in vain? I come to you, O children of
America, as a last resort. I plead with you to listen to my voice. Cleanse your
souls in the Precious Blood of My Son. Live in His Heart, and take Me in that I
maqy teach you to live in great purity of Heart which is so pleasing to God. Be
my army of chaste soldiers, ready to fight to the death to preserve the purity
of your souls. I am the Immaculate One, Patroness of your Lord. Be my faithful
children as I am your faithful Mother…My Immaculate Heart desires with great
desire to see the kingdom of Jesus My Son established in all Hearts” At times
the Virgin stood on a globe, her right foot on a crescent or quarter moon -- as
depicted at Guadalupe. On at least one occasion Sister Mildred described a
white rose on each of the Virgin's feet (as at Lourdes) and above her head was
a scroll on which was written in gold letters, "All the glory of the
king's daughter is within."
October
5, 1956, Sr. Mildred writes
how she suddenly felt urged to write a prayer to Our Lady, Patroness of our
land. Although she did not hear any words, the thoughts came into her mind with
such profundity, she could not stop until the magnificent Prayer to the
Immaculate Conception was finished. Prayer to the Immaculate Conception
"O
Immaculate Mother, Queen of our country, open our hearts, our homes, and our
land to the coming of Jesus, your Divine Son. With Him, reign over us, O
heavenly Lady, so pure and so bright with the radiance of God's light shining
in and about you. Be our leader against the powers of evil set upon wresting
the world of souls, redeemed at such a great cost by the sufferings of your Son
and of yourself, in union with Him, from that same Savior, Who loves us with
infinite charity.
"We
gather about you, O chaste and holy Mother, Virgin Immaculate, Patroness of our
beloved land, determined to fight under your banner of holy purity against the
wickedness that would make all the world an abyss of evil, without God and
without your loving maternal care.
"We
consecrate our hearts, our homes, our land to your Most Pure Heart, O great
Queen, that the kingdom of your Son, our Redeemer and our God, may be firmly
established in us.
"We
ask no special sign of you, sweet Mother, for we believe in your great love for
us, and we place in you our entire confidence. We promise to honor you by
faith, love, and the purity of our lives according to your desire.
"Reign
over us, then, O Virgin Immaculate, with your Son Jesus Christ. May His Divine
Heart and your most chaste Heart be ever enthroned and glorified among us. Use
us, your children of America, as your instruments in bringing peace among men
and nations. Work your miracles of grace in us, so that we may be a glory to
the Blessed Trinity, Who created, redeemed, and sanctifies us.
"May
your valiant Spouse, St. Joseph, with the holy Angels and Saints, assist you
and us in 'renewing the face of the earth.' Then when our work is over, come,
Holy Immaculate Mother, and as our Victorious Queen, lead us to the eternal
kingdom, where your Son reigns forever as King. Amen." (200 days)
Our
Lady, October 13, 1956, the
Blessed Virgin Mary appeared again as Our Lady of America, but instead of a
lily in her hand, she held, with both hands, a small replica of the finished
Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, D.C. "This is my
shrine, my daughter. I am very pleased with it. Tell my children I thank them.
Let them finish it quickly and make it a place of pilgrimage. It will be a
place of wonders. I promise this. I will bless all those who, either by
prayers, labor, or material aid help to erect this shrine."
Our
Lady, November 15, 1956: Our
Lady requested the seer to draw a picture of Her first appearance and a statue
to be made according to the likeness of the picture and placed after being
solemnly carried in procession, in the Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in
Washington D.C.
Attacks
of the devil 1956: “It
seems that since the attacks of the evil spirit are becoming more frequent and
violent, Our Lord in His mercy has been sending me more often than ever the
special help of the angels, especially St. Michael…He has come to me many times
since that day when he told me that Our Lord had sent him to protect me against
the powers of evil. He has become my constant companion. If I do not see him, I
feel him [our italics]. He does not always prevent the devil from attacking me,
although at times he does. Mostly he stays in the background. Sometimes I
wonder where he is when suffering and praying I seek his aid. Then when it is
over he comes and smiles at me as if to say, 'That was a good fight and all is
well now.' Then my courage returns.”
St
Joseph, undated, 1956:
"My heart suffered with the hearts of Jesus and Mary," said Joseph in
1956. "Mine was a silent suffering, for it was my special vocation to hide
and shield, as long as God willed, the Virgin Mother and Son from the malice
and hatred of men. The most painful of my sorrows was that I knew beforehand of
their passion, yet would not be there to console them. Their future suffering
was ever present to me and became my daily cross. I became, in union with my
holy spouse, co-redemptor of the human race. Through compassion for the
sufferings of Jesus and Mary I cooperated, as no other, in the salvation of the
world."
St
Joseph, October, 1956: Jesus
and Mary desire that my pure heart, so long hidden and unknown, be now honored
in a special way," said the apparition. "Their future suffering was
ever present to me and became my daily cross," "My spiritual
fatherhood extends to all God's children, and together with my Virgin Spouse I
watch over them with great love and solicitude. Through me the Heavenly Father
has blessed all fatherhood, and through me He continues and will continue to do
so till the end of time."
Our
Lady, January, 1957: The
hour grows late. My Son’s patience will not last forever. Help me hold back His
anger which is about to descend on sinful and ungrateful men. Suffering and
anguish, such as never before experienced, is about to overtake mankind. It is
the darkest hour. But if men will come to me, my Immaculate Heart will make it
bright again with the mercy which my Son will rain down through my hands. Help
me save those who will not save themselves.
Help me bring once again the sunshine of God's peace upon the
world.Hurry for the time is short, but the punishment will be long and for
many, forever….Pray and do penance…. If man himself will not take upon himself
the penance necessary to atone for his sins and those of others, God in His
justice will have to send upon him the punishment necessary to atone for his
transgressions…. I will work my miracles of grace only in those who ask for
them and empty their souls of the love and attachment to sin and all that is
displeasing to my Son. Souls who cling to sin cannot have their hands free to
receive the treasures of grace that I hold out to them…. I wish to gather about
me…an army of brave lovers, who as my torchbearers will enkindle the fire of
Divine Love in the souls of men. Only those who are strong in love can become
my soldiers to bear aloft, not the sword of destruction, but the sword of fire,
the flaming torch of Divine Charity.
To
my spiritual director (Archbishop Leibold) I was asked to send this message:
“Hurry, my son, for the time is short but the punishment will be long, and for
many, will last forever….Tell the Bishops of the United States, my loyal sons,
of my desires and how I wish them to be carried out. Through him who is head
over you, make known the longings of my Immaculate Heart to establish the reign
of my Divine Son in the hearts of men and thus save them from the scourge of
hell, both now and hereafter.”
Our
Lady, again addressing herself to me, spoke sadly yet hopefully: “My daughter,
will my children in America listen to my pleadings and console my Immaculate
Heart? Will my loyal sons carry out my desires and thus help me bring the peace
of Christ once again to mankind? Pray and do penance, my sweet child, that this
may come to pass. Trust me and love me; I so desire it. Do not forget your poor
Mother, who weeps over the loss of so many of her children.”
Our
Lady, February 3, 1957:
"Reform of life is what I ask as the sign and proof of my children's love
for me. God looks at the heart, and if it resembles the Heart of the Divine Son,
it is with the greatest pleasure He regards it….But to make your hearts grow
more and more like to the Heart of the Son, you must go to the Mother, whose
heart is most like His. From this Pure and Immaculate Heart you will learn all
that will make you more pleasing to the Divine Heart of the Son of God. The
Holy Trinity looks down with infinite delight upon such souls and makes them
its heaven upon earth….Come to me, my children, come to me and learn. There is
much I would teach you. It is for your own happiness and eternal salvation. Do
not disregard the voice of your Mother. It is the voice of love trying to save
you from eternal ruin….My Son asks of souls, love, that true love waiting to
sacrifice itself in the name of the one loved. Man fears to sacrifice himself
because he is selfish”
Our
Lady, April, 1957: ”My
sweet child, unless my children reform their lives, they will suffer great
persecution. If man himself will not take upon himself the penance necessary to
atone for his sins and those of others, God in His justice will have to send
upon him the punishment necessary to atone for his transgressions."
Our
Lady, August 22, 1957:
"What am I to do, child of my heart, when my children turn from me? The
false peace of this world lures them and in the end will destroy them. They
think they have done enough in consecrating themselves to my Immaculate Heart.
It is not enough. That which I ask and is most important many have not given
me. What I ask, have asked, and will continue to ask is reformation of life.
There must be sanctification from within. I will work my miracles of grace only
in those who ask for them and empty their souls of the love and attachment to
sin and all that is displeasing to my Son. Souls who cling to sin cannot have
their hands free to receive the treasures of grace that I hold out to
them."
Our
Lord, September 1957 – July 1959:
[Jesus speaking to the clergy]: Beloved sons…be careful to uphold the sanctity and
dignity of your calling…Be modest in your dress and speech as becomes those of
so exalted a vocation. The apparel and manners of a man of the world is not for
you…I ask you to practice self denial and penance in a special manner, because
it is you who must lead my children in the way of peace…. O My priests, My
religious, what would I not do for you if you would only let me! I come daily
laden with graces, which you daily refuse…. How long will you resist My love?
It is from you I expect everything, and you give Me but the husks of your
affections….it was this ingratitude on the part of My priests and My religious
that caused Me so much sorrow in My passion.
Our
Lady, October 7, 1957: “My
beloved daughter, what I am about to tell you concerns in a particular way my
children in America. Unless they do penance by mortifications and self-denial
and thus reform their lives, God will visit them with punishments hitherto
unknown to them….My child, there will be peace, as has been promised, but not
until my children are purified and cleansed from defilement, and clothed thus
with the white garment of grace, are made ready to receive this peace, so long
held back because of the sins of men….My dear children, either you will do as I
desire and reform your lives, or God Himself will need to cleanse you in the
fires of untold punishment. You must be prepared to receive His great gift of
peace. If you will not prepare yourselves, God will Himself be forced to do so
in His justice and mercy….Making the Rosary a family prayer is very pleasing to
me. I ask that all families strive to do so. But be careful to say it with
great devotion, meditating on each mystery and striving to imitate in your
daily lives the virtues depicted therein. Live the mysteries of the Rosary as I
lived them, and it will become a chain binding you to me forever. They who are
found in the circle of my Rosary will never be lost. I myself will lead them at
death to the throne of my Son, to be eternally united to Him….Write these words
upon your hearts, my dear children, because of the compassion I have for you in
my Immaculate Heart. Oh, if you knew the punishments I am holding back from you
by my pleading and intercession on your behalf! Will you do as I wish at last,
my children?”
Our
Lady November 22 -23, 1957:
“I am the Lady of the Divine Indwelling; Handmaid of Him who dwells within” Our
Lady appeared standing on a globe, Her right foot resting on crescent or
quarter moon, Her left foot was on the snout of a rather small and very ugly
looking dragon. Fire was coming out of the dragon’s jaws but not much because
of the pressure from Our Lady’s foot. The dragon looked somewhat black and
again green. Our Lady was all in white. Her veil was so long that it seemed to
envelope the globe halfway., sometimes the veil appeared transparent so that
Our Lady’s hair could be seen through it. Her hair seemed to be sparkling with
the light of many stars. At times the edges of the veil, sleeves and garments
seemed to be outlined in light. The veil was help about Her head by a wreath of
white roses. Her feet were bare, but on each foot was a large white rose. The
roses, both on her feet and on the crown., were of such dazzling whiteness that
the outlines of the petals could barely be seen, sometimes not at all. Our Lady
slowly raised Her hands and crossed them on Her breast while so doing She bent
Her head slightly forward, revealing on Her breast, through the veil, the
Triangle and the Eye (which is often depicted as the symbol of the Divine
indwelling). A strong beam of light streamed from the Divine Presence within
Our Lady onto the globe at her feet. Then in a half circle halfway around the
figure of Our Lady and above Her head appeared a scroll on which was written in
letters of gold the words: All the Glory of the King’s Daughter is within.
Our
Lady, undated, 1957: “My dear daughter, sweet child, write my
words carefully, because they are of the utmost importance," the Virgin
said in 1957 in an apparition that had the authorization of the archbishop.
"I address them to my beloved sons, the priests, dedicated to the most
intense and extraordinary imitation of my Son in the perfect carrying on of His
Eternal Priesthood….Beloved sons, so cherished and greatly blessed among the
sons of men, be careful to uphold the sanctity and dignity of your calling. Let
the faithful see in you the favored and especially loved imitators of the Son
of God. Be modest in your dress and speech as becomes those of so exalted a
vocation. The apparel and manners of a man of the world are not for you, who,
though living in the world, must not take on its ways. It is through you that
the grace of the Sacraments is given to souls. Strive then to make yourselves
more worthy receptacles to receive these graces and transmit them in turn to
the souls under your care."
Our
Lady, February 11, 1958:
“My Immaculate Heart will win in the end and the Spirit of Christ will dwell in
the hearts of men. Those in whom this Spirit is NOT found will be condemned to
eternal Hell-fire” Our Lady made known to me that she is particularly
interested in the youth of our nation. It is they who are to be the leaders of
this renewal on the face of the earth. Their ranks will be swelled by the youth
of other nations whom Our Lady also calls to help in the accomplishment of this
great renewal….But the youth must be prepared, and this must be done by
instilling into them, not only the knowledge of Divine Indwelling, but a
serious study of it, a living it in such way that the Divine Presence becomes,
as it were, an intimate and necessary part of their life and daily living. From
this will flow a great love, a conflagration that will envelop the world in the
flames of Divine Charity. This is what Our Lady is working for, because this is
the great desire of her Divine Son, and it is to the <M>youth of America
that she is holding out this challenge….A medal which Our Lady asked to be made
is to be their shield against evil; the picture or statue of Our Lady, the
protection of the home; the statue of the Shrine in Washington, D.C., a special
safeguard for our country. America, the United States in particular, is being
given the tremendous, yet privileged, opportunity to lead all nations in a
spiritual renewal never before so necessary, so important, so vital….Sister
Mildred then wrote: "St. Michael came to me one evening shortly after Our
Lady's visit, holding an immense flaming torch. He held it towards me saying:
'My little sister, you must carry this torch through the world.' He came again
the next night in the same manner….The next day I was interiorly enlightened
during Mass. It was made known to me that those, particularly the youth, who
are willing wholeheartedly to follow Our Lady in her great battle against evil,
would bear the special title of 'Torchbearers of the Queen'. This torch, of
course, is Divine Love, for it is love alone that will conquer hate and all
that hate brings with it."
St.
Joseph, March 18-30, 1958 “It
is true, my daughter, that immediately after my conception, I was, through the
future merits of Jesus and because of my exceptional role of future
Virgin-Father, cleansed from the original stain on my soul. This is my unique
privilege among men I surpassed the holiness of the highest angel in the
angelic choir. My heart suffered with the Hearts of Jesus and Mary. Mine was a
silent suffering, for it was my special vocation to hide and shield, as long as
God willed, the Virgin Mother and Son from the malice and hatred of men. The
most painful of my sorrows was that I knew beforehand of their passions, yet would
not be there to console them. Their future suffering was ever present to me and
became my daily cross. I became, in union with my holy spouse, co-redemptor of
the human race. Through compassion for the sufferings of Jesus and Mary I
co-operated, as no other, in the salvation of the world.”
St
Joseph, March 30, 1958:
"Let them receive Holy Communion in union with the love with which I
received the Savior for the first time and each time I held Him in my arms”… He
promised that those dedicated to this new devotion "will be consoled by my
presence at their death, and I myself will conduct them safely into the
presence of Jesus and Mary."
St.
Joseph, March, 1958
“Fatherhood
is from God, and it must take once again its rightful place among men. My
special protection of the Holy Father and the Church should be made known to
him. God wishes to make this known to him that he may receive thereby renewed
consolation and encouragement….Jesus and Mary desire that my pure heart, so
long hidden and unknown, be now honored in a special way. Let my children honor
my most pure heart in a special manner on the First Wednesday of the month by
reciting the Joyful Mysteries of the Rosary in memory of my life with Jesus and
Mary and the love I bore them and the sorrow I suffered with them. “
Our
Lady, undated 1958: The
Virgin wanted an image of Our Lady of America in every home.
Our
Lady, December 20, 1959: “Oh
penance,. How little My children understand it! They give me many words but
sacrifice themselves they will not. It is not Me that they love but themselves.
Weep then with your Mother over the sins of men. Intercede with Me before the
Throne of Mercy, for sin is overwhelming the world and punishment is not far
away.”
Our
Lady, April 24, 1961: “If
My desires are not fulfilled much suffering will come to this land”
Our
Lady, undated 1961: “The
sins of mankind cry to heaven for punishment”
Our
Lord, undated, 1961: “The
world is dying…My Father is angry…If my will not listen to My Heart, which is a
Voice of mercy and instruction, punishment will come swiftly and none shall be
able to stay it."
Our
Lady, February 27, 1972: “When
a picture of statue of Myself as Our Lady of America is placed in the home and
honoured then will My Son bless His people with peace”
Our
Lady, July 18, 1980: Dear
child, there are those of my children who are faithful, among these are my
priests and religious who live a life of prayer and dedication to the work of
my Son. What a consolation they are to me, with what joy I watch them furthering
the Kingdom. But there must be more of such self-sacrificing souls, many, many
more. Until this comes to pass, peace will not come, rather much more of
suffering will encompass the world. I wish to spare my children from this, but
I cannot do it without their help.
Our
Lady, November 22, 1980: “Unless
the United States accepts and carries out faithfully the mandate given to it by
heaven to lead the world to peace, there will come upon it and all nations a
great havoc of war and incredible suffering. If however the United States is
faithful to this mandate from heaven and yet fails in the pursuit of peace
because the rest of the world will not accept or cooperate the United States
will not be burdened with the punishment about to fall”
Our
Lady, undated, 1980: the
Virgin was warning Sister Mildred that the danger was "imminent" and
that there was "no time to lose." The message was to be conveyed to
the faithful, said Mary, "as the time is shorter than ever." There
was an urgency about Our Lady, said Sister Neuzil, that left " no doubts
as to the closeness of the terrible purification that is about to fall upon all
nations."
Our
Lady, undated, 1982: “There
is no true love unless there is sacrifice”
Our
Lady, 1981 – 83: “Many
unnatural acts are being committed in the name of love. This evil is being
disguised and tolerated as an intrinsic right like any other. Even some of My
priests and consecrated virgins are being caught up into this web of evil….
There are those in high places in the Church who disobey and refuse respect to
my Son’s Vicar on earth. These betray the teachings inspired by the Divine
Spirit sent by my Son to be with the Church ‘til the end of time….There are
those who teach false doctrines, and those who repudiate the Holy Sacraments. They
are filled with intellectual pride. And so refusing to follow my humble Son,
they are being destroyed together with those who misguidedly follow them down
the path of error and falsehood. “
Our
Lady, Final message January 3, 1984:
The seer asked Our Lady if there would be a nuclear war. “If My warnings are
taken seriously and enough of My children strive constantly and faithfully to
renew and reform themselves in their inward and outward lives, then there will
be no nuclear war…What happens to the world depends upon those who live in it.
There must be much more good than evil prevailing in order to prevent the
holocaust that is so near approaching…Yet even should such a destruction happen
because there were not enough souls who took my warning seriously, there will
remain a remnant, untouched by the chaos who, having been faithful in following
Me and spreading my warnings will gradually inhabit the earth again, with their
dedicated holy lives”
Our
Lady, sometime prior to September 11, 2001: “She specifically mentioned "fire." She mentioned a
crisis in the Church. "Oh, penance, penance," she said. "How
little my children understand it! They give me many words, but sacrifice
themselves they will not. It is not me they love but themselves. Oh, what
blindness, sweet child, what blindness! How it pierces my heart!…I desire,
through my children of America, to further the cause of faith and purity among
peoples and nations," continued the Virgin to Sister Neuzil. "My
beloved daughter, what I am about to tell you concerns in a particular way my
children in America. Unless they do penance by mortification and self-denial
and thus reform their lives, God will visit them with punishments hitherto
unknown to them."

Our
Lady, undated: Prayer to
the Indwelling of the Most Holy Trinity “O my Love, my only Good, Most Holy
Trinity, I adore You, hidden in the depths of my soul. To You, to Your honor
and glory, I dedicate my life. May every thought, word and deed of mine be an
act of adoration and praise directed towards Your Divine Majesty enthroned in
my heart. O Father, Infinite Goodness, behold Your child, clothed in the
likeness of Your Son. Extend to me Your arms that I may belong to You forever.
O Son, Divine Lord, made man, crucify me with Yourself that I may become, in
union with You, a sacrifice of praise for the glory of Your Father. O Holy
Spirit, Fire of Everlasting Love, consume me on the altar of Divine Charity,
that at the end of life, nothing may remain but that which bears the likeness
of Christ. O Blessed Trinity, worthy of all adoration, I wish to remain in
spirit on my knees, to acknowledge forever Your reign in me and over me, to
Your everlasting glory. Through the Immaculate Heart of Mary and the pure heart
of St. Joseph, I consecrate my life to Your adoration and glory. At the moment
of death, receive me, O my Triune Love, that I may continue my adoration of
love through all eternity. Amen. (200 days)

Our
Lady, undated: “Unless my
children in America do penance by mortification and self-denial and thus reform
their lives, God will visit them with punishments hitherto unknown to
them…There will be peace as has been promised by not until My children are
purified and cleansed from defilement. My dear children, either you will do as
I desire and reform your lives, or God Himself will need to cleanse you in the
fires of untold punishment”
Our
Lady, undated “Tell the
bishops of the United States, my loyal sons, of my desires and how I wish them
to be carried out," Mary told Sister Mildred, who saw Mary with a white
veil reaching almost to her waist and a mantle and robe of pure white with no
decoration. An oblong brooch or clasp held the ends of the mantle together at
the top. It was all gold, as was the high and brilliant crown she wore. Her
hair and eyes seemed medium brown, said Sister Mildred. Her feet were bare, but
not always visible -- sometimes covered by the moving clouds on which she
stood. Often she smiled and revealed a heart encircled by roses that sent forth
flames of fire. "I am Our Lady of America," said the Virgin. "I
desire that my children honor me, especially by the purity of their
lives." At times light twinkled from Mary's hair, wrote the nun, and
seemed to radiate from within her
Our
Lord, undated “My father is
angry. If My children will not listen to My Heart, which is a voice of mercy and
instruction, punishment will come swiftly and none shall be able to stay it.
The pleadings of My Heart have held back the divine justice about to descend on
an ungrateful and sinful generation."
Our
Lord, undated “Woe to
parents who set a bad example to their children," continue the messages.
"Terrible will be their judgment.
I will demand a strict account of every soul entrusted to their care.
Woe to parents who teach their children how to gain materially in this world
and neglect to prepare them for the next! Woe to children who disobey and show
disrespect towards their parents."
Our
Lord, undated “There are so
few souls that believe in Me and My love. They profess their belief and their
love, but they do not live this belief. Their hearts are cold, for without
faith there can be no love."
Our
Lady, undated: “Nothing is
accomplished in life without pain,” the Virgin told Sister Neuzil -- who, as we
will explore in future articles, had much to suffer -- as had the Virgin. When
she was portrayed with a sword in her heart, said Mary, it was because of the
"grief plunged therein by my children who refuse to let me teach them the
true way." She expressed special grief over priests who rejected her
appearances while promising grace to those who showed their respect. Her
wonders, she said, would be more spiritual than physical.
Our
Lady, undated: “When a
picture or statue of myself as Our Lady of America is placed in the home and
honored there, then will my Son bless His people with peace," said the
Virgin -- who specifically requested such a statue be placed in the National
Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington after a solemn procession.
"I desire to make the whole of America my shrine by making every heart
accessible to the love of my Son."
Our
Lady, February 23, 1959:
“The Virgin emphasized the importance of the mission and according to Sister
Mildred asked that it be expressed to Church authorities -- who would be
charged with establishing a new devotion in America. Although the nun shunned
attention and remained hidden in a cloister, she expressed confidence that the
message would come out at the proper time. "On February 23, 1959, Our Lady
came to me and admonished me to work on the 'message' as soon as possible so
that it might be placed in the hands of the bishops who would be responsible
for its fulfillment," wrote Sister Neuzil. "In a very serious manner
Our Lady warned me that I must not delay any longer to do this, as the time is
now."
Our
Lady, undated: "My
Son's patience will not last forever," the nun quoted Mary as saying.
"Help me hold back His anger, which is about to descend on sinful and
ungrateful men. Suffering and anguish, such as never before experienced, is
about to overtake mankind." Unless
there was penance, said Mary, God would visit men "with punishments
hitherto unknown to them."
Our
Lady, undated: "My
dear children," said Mary. "Either you will do as I desire and reform
your lives, or God Himself will need to cleanse you in the fires of untold
punishment. You must be prepared to receive His great gift of peace. If you
will not prepare yourselves, God will Himself be forced to do so in His justice
and mercy."
Our
Lady, undated: "Oh,
the pride of souls!" Sister Mildred quoted Mary as lamenting. "How
they resist my grace. O my priests, my religious, what would I not do for you
if you would only let me! I come daily laden with graces, which you daily
refuse. How long will I bear with you, O my chosen ones? How long will you
spurn my approaches?"
Our
Lady, undated: There was a
bright future if America would take up penance, if it would take up Christ, if
it would unite with Mary as its mother. If not, "the punishment will be
long and for many forever."
Our
Lady, undated: "If my
desires are not fulfilled much suffering will come to this land," the
Virgin said. "My faithful one, if my warnings are taken seriously and
enough of my children strive constantly and faithfully to renew and reform
themselves in their inward and outward lives, then there will be no nuclear war.
What happens to the world depends upon those who live in it. There must be much
more good than evil prevailing in order to prevent the holocaust that is so
near approaching. Yet I tell you, my daughter, even should such a destruction
happen because there were not enough souls who took my warning seriously, there
will remain a remnant -- untouched by the chaos who, having been faithful in
following me and spreading my warnings, will gradually inhabit the earth again
with their dedicated and holy lives."
Our
Lady, undated: Mary said
her Immaculate Heart is "the channel through which the graces of the
Sacred Heart are given to men" and warned that "the false peace of
this world lures them and in the end will destroy them."
Our
Lady, undated: In the revelations,
the Virgin allegedly referred to herself as a "co-redemptrix of the human
race" -- as did St. Joseph, her earthly spouse, who was also said to have
appeared to Sister Mildred.
St
Joseph, undated: Joseph
allegedly added that "immediately after my conception, I was, through the
future merits of Jesus and because of my exceptional role of future
virgin-father, cleansed from the stain of original sin. I was from that moment
confirmed in grace and never had the slightest stain on my soul. This is my
unique privilege among men.
St
Joseph, undated: "Mine
was perfect obedience to the Divine Will, as it was shown and made known to me
by me by the Jewish law and religion," Joseph allegedly said. "To be
careless in this is most displeasing to God and will be severely punished in
the next world. Let fathers also imitate my great purity of life and deep
respect I held for my Immaculate spouse. Let them be an example to their
children and fellow men, never willfully doing anything that would cause
scandal among God's people.
St
Joseph, undated: "I
desire souls to come to my heart that they may learn true union with the Divine
Will," said Joseph.
St
Joseph, undated: The saint was
said to have also appeared above a globe with clouds swirling about it, his
hands similar to those of a priest during Mass, his eyes looking up as if in
ecstasy. "Jesus and Mary desire
that my pure heart, so long hidden and unknown, be now honored in a special
way," said Joseph, who told Sister Mildred that he had been appointed the
Pope's special protector and asked for a new devotion. "Let my children
honor my most pure heart in a special manner on the First Wednesday of the
month by reciting the joyful mysteries of the Rosary in memory of my life with
Jesus and Mary and the love I bore them, the sorrow I suffered with them. Let
them receive holy Communion in union with the love with which I received the
Savior for the first time and each time I held Him in my arms."
Our
Lady, Undated: "It is
the United States that is to lead the world to peace, the peace of Christ, the
peace that He brought with Him from heaven," she quoted the Virgin as
saying. "Dear children, unless the United States accepts and carries out
faithfully the mandate given to it by heaven to lead the world to peace, there
will come upon it and all nations a great havoc of war and incredible
suffering. If, however, the United States is faithful to this mandate from
heaven and yet fails in the pursuit of peace because the rest of the world will
not accept or cooperate, then the United States will not be burdened with the
punishment about to fall."
Our
Lady, Undated: "It is
the darkest hour," said another approved message. "But if men will
come to me, my Immaculate heart will make it bright again with the mercy which
my Son will rain down through my hands. Help me save those who will not save
themselves. Help me bring once again the sunshine of God's peace upon the
world."
Our
Lady, Undated: "Weep,
then, dear children, weep with your mother over the sins of men," said
Mary. "Intercede with me before the throne of mercy, for sin is
overwhelming the world and punishment is not far away. "
Our
Lady, Undated: "I come
to you, O children of America, as a last resort," said Our Lady of
America. "I plead with you to listen to my voice."
Our
Lady, undated: She used
words like "imminent." She said the time was "shorter than
ever." She had warned that "much suffering" would come to the
United States. "America, the United States in particular, is being given
the tremendous, yet privileged, opportunity to lead all the nations in a
spiritual renewal," she lamented -- but was not doing this. She had asked
for sacrifices. This had not been done. The "false peace" of the
world, she said, would lure and destroy us.
Our
Lord, undated: “My faithful
spouse, the world does not know Me," said Jesus to this nun whose previous
messages had received an imprimatur. "Many unnatural acts are being
committed in the name of love. This evil is being disguised and tolerated as an
intrinsic right like any other. Even some of My priests and consecrated virgins
are being caught up in this web of evil -- not realizing the terrible
consequences."
Our
Lady, undated: “The devil,
said Mary, would seek to introduce this evil into religious orders. Much of the
problem, said Mary, would come through pride and disobedience. In what was once
described as the "last official message," the American apparition
issued a warning about modernism. It was this modernism that was bowing the
current culture and this modernism that was leading to divisiveness,
hyper-intellectualism, and a pervasive haughtiness -- as well as insertion of
carnality into religious communities….Beloved daughter, sweet child, there are
those in high places in the Church who disobey and refuse respect to my Son's
Vicar on earth. These betray the teachings inspired by the Divine Spirit sent
by my Son to be with the Church till the end of time. There are those who teach
false doctrines and those who repudiate the holy sacraments. They are filled
with intellectual pride, and so, refusing to follow my humble Son, they are
being destroyed -- together with those who misguidedly follow them down the
path of error and falsehood."
Our
Lady, undated: "It is
the wish of my Son that fathers and mothers strive to imitate me and my chaste
spouse in our holy life at Nazareth," said Our Lady of America. "We
practiced the simple virtues of family life, Jesus our Son being the center of
all our love and activity. The Holy Trinity dwelt with us in a manner far
surpassing anything that can ever be imagined.
Our
Lady, undated “The hour
grows late” Christ's patience would not last too long. The “false peace of this
world" was luring people and in the end would "destroy them."
Men must turn to divine love and the divine will -- or suffer "the fires
of untold punishment." In the great battle against evil -- a battle Sister
Mildred believed, to her dying moments in 2000, that America would win -- those
who fought for the Virgin were to be known, said the nun, as "Torchbearers
of the Queen."
Our
Lady, undated: “it is the
hour of the power of darkness… you can not imagine what is going to happen nor
what the Eternal Father will send to earth" and that a great struggle was
about to "unfold."
Our
Lady, undated: "What
happens to the world depends upon those who live in it," the Virgin
allegedly told Sister Mildred. "There must be much more good than evil
prevailing in order to prevent the holocaust that is so near approaching”
Our
lady, undated: Sister
Mildred had quoted Our Lady of America as urging "penance, penance"
Our
Lady, undated: “Oh, if you
knew the punishments I am holding back from you by my pleading and intercession
on your behalf”
Our
Lady, undated: "My
dear children, either you will do as I desire and reform your lives, or God
Himself will need to cleanse you in the fires of untold punishment,"
Our
Lady, undated: “My child,
there will be peace, as has been promised, but not until my children are
purified and cleansed from defilement, and clothed thus with the white garment
of grace, are made ready to receive this peace, so long promised and so long
held back because of the sins of men…My children, either you will do as I
desire and reform your lives, or God Himself will need to cleanse you in the
fires of untold punishment."
Our
Lady, undated: "if the
people of this land carry out faithfully the instructions and pleadings of the
Lord Jesus and the Virgin Mother then they will be following me to the hour of
peace."
St
Joseph, undated: "Fatherhood
is from God," Joseph said to the nun, "and it must take once again
its rightful place among men. The Holy Trinity desires thus to honor me that in
my unique fatherhood all fatherhood might be blessed."
St
Joseph, undated: Sister
Neuzil said she saw Joseph's "pure heart" on a cross of brown
color. "It appeared to me that at the top of the heart, in the midst of
the flames pouring out, was a pure white lily," wrote the nun, who said
the saint desired a day set aside to honor his fatherhood. "In honoring in
a special way my fatherhood, you also honor Jesus and Mary," he told
Sister Neuzil, adding that he too was a "co-operator" or
"co-redemptor….The Divine Trinity has placed into our keeping the peace of
the world."
St
Joseph, undated: Sister
Mildred said St. Joseph's cloak at times seemed brown, at other times purple,
with a belt and sandals that looked the color of gold. Though his appearance
seemed quite youthful, the nun said he gave the impression of "great
strength" and "rare maturity."
St
Joseph, undated: "The
lines of his face appeared strong and purposeful, softened somewhat by a gentle
serenity," said Sister Mildred in a booklet available through the Fostoria
center. "I also saw his most pure heart at this time. Moreover, I saw the
Holy Spirit in the form of a dove hovering above his head."
St
Joseph, undated: The nun
added that two angels were at his side, each with a small, satin-covered
pillow, one bearing a gold scepter, the other a gold crown.
St
Joseph, undated: "Then
I heard these words: `Thus should be honored whom the King desires to
honor,'" said Sister Mildred.
Our
Lady, undated: “My holy
spouse has an important part to play in bringing peace to the world."
St.
Joseph, undated: “He seemed
suspended, as it were, a short distance above what had the appearance of a
large globe with clouds moving about it," claimed Sister Neuzil, whose
apparitions have come the closest of any in America to official recognition
"His head was slightly raised, the eyes gazing upward as if in ecstasy.
The hands were in a position similar to that of the priest during the
celebration of Holy Mass, only they extended upward somewhat more." A dove
hovered over his head. "Let them receive Holy Communion in union with the
love with which I received the Savior for the first time and each time I held
Him in my arms," Sister Neuzil quoted him as saying. "All fatherhood
is blest in me whom the Eternal Father chose as His representative on earth,
the Virgin-Father of His own Divine Son. Through me the Heavenly Father has
blessed all fatherhood, and through me He continues and will continue to do so
till the end of time." His fatherhood -- he explained -- extends to all of
God's children…."Let fathers also imitate my great purity of life and the
deep respect I held for my Immaculate Spouse," he told Sister Neuzil.
"Let them be an example to their children and fellow men, never willfully
doing anything that would cause scandal among God's people. "Fatherhood is
from God, and it must once again take its rightful place among men."
