Are you going to Heaven or Hell?

Take “The God Challenge” to see.  Ask yourself the following questions and be completely honest...

Q. Do you believe in God?

Q. Do you believe He is all-good?

Q. Do you believe He will punish evil?

v

Okay then, lets change gear for minute….

Q. Do you consider yourself to be basically a good person?

“Yes” you might say

Q. Can I ask you a few questions -to see if it is true?

“Sure” you might say

Okay then…

Q. Have you ever told a lie?

What does that make you?

Q. Have you ever stolen something (even something small)?

What does that make you?

Q. Have you ever used God’s name (the “G” or the “J” word) in vain?

Okay that’s called blasphemy…so instead of using a four letter filth word to show disgust you have taken the name of the God who gave you life and used His name as a curse word

Q. Jesus Christ said that whoever looks at another person with lust in their hearts has committed adultery with them in their heart –Have you ever looked at another person with lust?

That makes you an adulterer…

v

Okay by your own admission, you are a lying, thieving, blasphemous, adulterer at heart and you’ve got to face God on judgement day…

Q. If God judges you by the 10 commandments on the day of judgement, would you be innocent or guilty?

“Guilty, I guess” you might reply

Q. Would you go to heaven or hell?

“Hell, I guess” you might reply

Q. Does that concern you?

“I don’t believe in Hell” you might reply

Q. But if I stepped off a 6 story building and said to you I don’t believe in gravity do you think it is going to change reality?

“ah. But that’s real!”, you might say

Q. But how do you know –you cant see it?

“Because we can test it”, you might say

Q. Well you can test the screams of the damned too –Communist scientists recorded their screams at the centre of the earth whilst  drilling 14 km down in Siberia and were so frightened they quit (CLICK HERE). The BBC thought it too controversial to carry the story. Does that concern you?

“Nahhh, I don’t buy it”, you might say

Q. Okay what if as a child we were disrespectful to our parents - we might get rightfully grounded, right? And if in later years we committed crimes against society, we could be rightfully fined, imprisoned or even executed depending on the seriousness of our crime, right? Well, what if we sinned against the All-Holy God, the Creator of the universe? Could we not rightfully face a punishment worse than death? What if by sinning against the Infinite Majesty of God, we could deserve an infinite punishment like Hell… Does that concern you?

“Well everybody lies, steals, blasphemes and lusts so that must mean we must all be going to hell!” you might say

Q. God is not going to judge you by man’s standard which is very low but His standard which is very high, by holiness, justice, truth and righteousness. If you die in your sins, the bible says you have to face a Holy creator, who gave you a conscience to know right from wrong and He is going to judge you by the secret sins you have committed in darkness which nobody has seen because He is a God of justice. Does that concern you?

“God is all good and would never condemn anyone to Hell” you might say

Q. Do you think that God should allow liars, adulterers, thieves and blasphemers into heaven? No of course not. Then you are in big trouble right? Really you are heading for hell aren’t you? Does that concern you?

“Nahhh, God is all forgiving and will not condemn me” you might reply

Q. Okay well imagine you are standing in a court of law guilty of a serious crime and the judge says “What have you to say for yourself before I pass sentence” and you say “I would just like to say judge that you are a good man and therefore you will let me go”. Is the judge going to let you go free if he is a good judge? Of course not. If he is a good judge he will uphold the law and make sure justice is served and you are punished for your crimes. How much more is this true for God who is a perfect judge? The bible says that “God will punish sin wherever it is found”. He will punish murderers and rapists, but He wont stop there, God is so good He will also punish liars, thieves, adulterers, blasphemers and all those who violate the inner light of their conscience that God has given to every man.  Does that concern you?

“Well I guess I’m going to Hell then” you might say

Q. Would you sell one of your eyes for a million pounds? No, of course not. Because your eyes are precious to you aren’t they? They are the windows to your soul. But Jesus said you are to despise the value of your eye compared with your soul because if your eye causes you to sin, pluck it out and cast it from you, for it is better to enter heaven without an eye than go to hell with both your eyes.  Does that concern you?

No answer

Q. Hell is like a neverending escalating horror movie on a stuck record with you as the star of the show. There is no escape. Its forever. The panicked screams of the damned as their bodies crackle in  the black flames can split rocks. Does that concern you?

No answer.

v

Don’t despair friend. I have some great news for you. Put yourself back in a courtroom, you’re guilty of a serious crime with a million pound fine or life in prison, you can’t pay your fine, when all at a sudden someone comes into the courtroom and pays your fine for you. That’s what God did for you and for me 2000 years ago. Jesus Christ the Son of God stepped into the courtroom, so to speak, and paid your fine when He suffered and died on the cross. As the bible says “God demonstrated His own love for us and whilst we were yet sinners Christ died for us” We broke the law and Jesus paid our fine...

If you wish to avoid Hell

On the Sunday after Easter the Feast of Mercy, you can completely cleanse your soul of all past sins and avoid Hell by doing all that Jesus asks of you in preparation for this great gift. The following is what  Jesus demands of you in preparation for this day, if you wish to obtain the Gift of Divine Mercy which is complete cleansing of your soul.

1.      You say the chaplet of Divine Mercy for nine consecutive days beginning on Good Friday

2.      That you attend a church celebrating the Feast of Mercy and listen to the priest speak on Divine Mercy – that is the mercy which God the father bestows on us through Jesus Christ His son. (St. Faustina’s Diary II: 39)

3.      You should contemplate, on this day, the mystery of your Redemption as the greatest revelation of Divine Mercy towards mankind (Diary I: 130)

4.      You should see the Image of Divine Mercy as it is being ceremoniously blessed in the church on the day (Diary 1: 18), (Diary 1: 142)

5.      You should publicly venerate the Image of Divine Mercy whilst taking part in the celebration. To achieve this you must go to the image which is left in a position that all can touch and say “Jesus I trust in You”. This may be carried out during the celebration like the kissing of the cross on Good Friday, or as people leave the Church, if large numbers make it difficult during the ceremony. (Diary 1:341)7

6.      You should make a good confession in preparation for communion on the feast day. Your communion, as always, should be a worthy one and must be accompanied by complete trust in Divine Mercy, because it is at this moment your soul is completely cleansed (Diary II.138), (Diary III.1109)

7.      That an act of Mercy should take place in our lives, as part of our preparation for the feast. We should be merciful to others in our deeds, words and prayers.

Merciful word: forgiving and comforting

Merciful deed: Any of the corporal works of mercy

Merciful prayer: Prayers for Mercy for someone in need

Q. Will you turn back to the good Lord Jesus for Pardon?

Right now you are facing capital punishment, you are waiting to die, and you are on death row, and you do not know the hour or the day when death will seize upon you.  You have sinned repeatedly and should be trembling with dread and fear at what will happen to you when you pass through the doorway of death.  Do you want to jump through it without a parachute? What are you going to do?

YOU DECIDE.

The bible says that to be saved we must:

·        Be a member of the Catholic Church which is the pillar and foundation of the truth (1 Timothy 3:15)

·        Be baptised in the name of Jesus Christ (Mark 16:15)

·        Confess our sins to His appointed shepherds (James 5:15 and John 20:22)

·        Repent of these sins and change our lives (Mark 1:15)

·        Be confirmed by the Holy Spirit as a soldier of Christ  against Satan’s empire (Ephesians 1:13)

·        Eat Christ’s body and drink His blood on the altar for strength against temptation (John 6:51, 1 Corinthians 10:16 and 11:23)

·        Honour His virgin mother as blessed of God (Luke 1:48) and call upon her intercession with her Divine Son like the wedding couple did at the feast of Cana (John 2:1) for all our needs….
